The day
21 July 2014 we went to visit the Association MUSIC 4 PEACE, a NGO that deals with the
collection of humanitarian aid to send to to the populations in distress because affected by war or natural
disasters, and the organization of humanitarian missions to deliver harvested
products. It also takes care to sensitize and inform people about respect of
human rights, the value of the exchange and recycling, the respect for the
environment.
The association was founded in 2002; currently
has 4 salaried employees and inside operate from 30 to 40 volunteers of
different age (14 to 70 years), even if
the most operational tasks are carried out by young people between 20 and 30
years. During the visit, we have been driven by two volunteers, Simone and
Stefano, who made us see the structure of harvest and the various sectors from
which it is constituted (food, medicine, toys, didactics, clothing, etc.)
where volunteers manufacture the packages that are sent abroad by means of
containers. This experience has been very touching because it has made us
understand that there are a lot of people that don't have common and essential
things that we use every day and to which we don't give any importance.
