It started early in the morning in Don Gallo square with the distribution of trowels, concrete, brooms and wheelbarrows, the third edition of "Operation stopgap 2.0", the voluntary action carried out in collaboration with the Community of San Benedetto al Porto and the CEL Il Laboratorio, the Office of pets critics of the Environment of the City of Genoa, the Center East Hall, Aster and Amiu. This initiative, has revived in the Ghetto area the rat-proofing, or maintenance interventions to eliminate cracks and crevices in walls of buildings - using cement and other materials - in order to avoid nesting of the rats. The "Operation stopgap" is a typical example of possible collaborations between citizens and institutions that combine their resources to improve the quality of the territory: in fact, the inhabitants of the district, with the young boys of the CEL, social workers and all the volunteers present , worked together in the area.
